Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for adults. In-person sessions provide a dedicated, grounding space for therapeutic work, while virtual sessions offer flexibility and convenience for those who prefer to meet from home or another private location.

Do I have to be in Pennsylvania if we meet virtually?

Yes. Because I am licensed in Pennsylvania, clients must be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of each virtual session. This applies even if you live elsewhere temporarily or are traveling.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently a private-pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. This allows me to provide care that is more personalized, thoughtful, and responsive to your needs, without the restrictions that can sometimes accompany insurance requirements related to diagnosis, treatment planning, or session frequency.

To help make services more accessible, I am in the process of becoming paneled with a select few insurance plans and will update this section once I am able to accept insurance

Do you provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement?

Yes. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Because coverage varies by plan, I recommend contacting your insurer directly to better understand your mental health benefits.

What are your fees?

Fees vary depending on the service provided, including psychotherapy, therapy intensives, and assessment services. Please feel free to reach out for current rates or for guidance in determining which service may best fit your needs.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a space to begin getting to know one another and to explore what is bringing you to therapy at this point in your life. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope for from treatment, while also making room for any questions you may have. My goal is to create an environment that feels warm, thoughtful, and supportive from the very beginning.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as this tends to provide the consistency and momentum needed to build insight, strengthen coping, and support meaningful progress. Depending on your needs, goals, and stage of treatment, we may meet more or less frequently over time. Session frequency is something we can discuss together and adjust as needed.

How long are sessions?

Individual therapy sessions are typically roughly 50 minutes in length. Extended sessions, therapy intensives, or assessment-related appointments may vary depending on the service being provided. If a different session length would better support your needs, we can discuss available options together.

Are you currently accepting new clients?

I am currently accepting new clients. If you are considering beginning therapy, I welcome you to reach out. We can briefly explore what is bringing you in and whether my approach feels aligned with your needs.
